STEEL WHEEL PRODUCTION KFZ Stahlrad wheels are manufactured in close cooperation with the world’s leading steel wheel producers. The ALCAR Group boasts a very special cooperation with the original equipment manufacturer Hayes Lemmerz. Over 90 percent of the KFZ Stahlrad volume comes either from the production sites of Hayes Lemmerz or ALCAR’s own production facility Ambrosetti Ruote SA. This plant is located near Lugano, in the Swiss canton Ticino. It was acquired in 1995 by ALCAR Holding and today it is the ALCAR main production site for steel wheels. Ambrosetti manufactures some two million wheels annually. Over the last few years, the plant has solely focused on meeting the needs of the aftermarket.
